Revised 2025 Hometown Heroes Program Income Limits

 

According to FHA Mortgage Source - The revised Hometown Heroes program income limits were just announced and now include even more homebuyers. The newly increased household income caps are listed below and will be in effect for most of 2025.

Mortgage down payment is often the primary barrier for first-time home buyers in the current market. The Hometown Heroes program is a great way for Florida first time home buyers to purchase a home with down payment assistance. The program provides up to $35,000 in state funds for down payment and closing costs for income eligible first time homeowners.

The program is a non-forgivable deferred second mortgage that is non-amortizing with 0% interest and a 30-year term. The homeowner will be required to pay off and satisfy the second mortgage in the event of a refinancing, sell or transfer of property.
