It's On! Home Bidding Wars In The US Are Back!

Sure, things haven't been looking to great for the US economy for the past few years, but it appears like we are back on the upswing.

Depending on who you are, that may be a good or a bad thing, as the bidding wars are back!

This past March, 75% of agents with the broker Redfin said their client's offers were countered.

In late 2011, the agents reported 56%.

According to CNN Money, "The competition has been most intense in California, where 9 out of 10 homes sold in San Francisco, Sacramento and cities in Southern California drew competing bids during the month. And at least two-third of listings in Boston, Washington D.C., Seattle and New York generated bidding wars."

Given the change, it will be difficult for individuals looking to find a home on their own, says many insiders.

"The only question is not whether a new listing will get multiple bids but how many it will get," said Kris Vogt.

He manages 14 Coldwell Banker offices in the Sacramento, California area.
