Builders Say Housing Is Back!

According to builders, it appears that the housing recovery is the real deal!

In June, the National Association of Home Builder's index hit 52, which is the first time it was above 50 in seven years. A reading of 50 indicates that conditions are "good."

The peak is also a great indicator as June typically when builders show slower activity.

"It's further confirmation of what we've felt for six months at least -- that the housing market is back and will continue to improve," said David Crowe, chief economist for the trade group, in an interview with CNN Money.

The survey found that 41% of builders said that current conditions are "positive," which is almost double of what was reported a year ago.
