One Ocean, an exclusive new building in Miami with 50 condos, is launching at
a private UBS dinner tomorrow.
Typical units are around 3,000 square feet and more than $5 million.
And One Ocean isn't alone as various condos are being unveiled in Miami during Art Basel; "a week where billionaire art collectors and mansion buyers, along with much of the fashion and entertainment worlds, descend for a week of partying and networking and, yes, even buying art," according to The New York Post.
A growing phenomenon, Art Basel had over 50,000 attendees in 2011, making it one of the most popular events in Miami and Southern Florida.
"The exposure that Art Basel gives to the Miami real estate market is undoubtable,” says Douglas Elliman Florida President and CEO Vanessa Grout.
The condos will be priced at the top of Miami’s market, as units throughout the region are expected to trade for upwards of $2,500 per square foot.
This year, Miami reported at least 65,000 visitors to the city.
